NIDEK Inc. announced today that it has received FDA approval for commercial sales and marketing of the NIDEK US-1800 Pachymeter & A-Scan Ultra Sound combination unit in the United States. NIDEK's US-1800 is an industry leader offering both combination pachymeter and ultrasound functionalities. The unit features and includes the latest IOL power calculation software, a touch
screen panel, and is portable for use in remote locations. The product will be officially launched at this year's American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) meeting in Anaheim, California from November 15 to 18.
