NIDEK is excited to announce that our PHANTOM™ open-field binocular refraction system was awarded the “SILMO d’Or” at the Silmo 2026 held in Villepinte, France!
SILMO Paris is one of the largest international optics and eyewear trade-shows with about 30,000 visitors attending from all over the world every year. At this trade-show, international manufacturers of spectacle frames and equipment announce and exhibit their products including attractive new models. Since 1994, the SILMO d’Or has rewarded excellence in creativity and innovation in the world of optics and eyewear.
PHANTOM™ is a true open-field binocular refraction system that redefines the very concept of refraction. By eliminating physical lenses—no lenses in front of the eyes—, it provides a comfortable and highly accurate examination under natural viewing conditions. For both objective and subjective refraction, the chart appears to float in space, giving patients a fresh, WOW testing experience. Refractive errors are corrected by virtual lenses simulating the same optical properties as real lenses.
