NIDEK Global Social Media Community Guidelines
NIDEK CO., LTD. (hereinafter “NIDEK”) manages a variety of social media channels (hereinafter “Services”) to inform our products and to communicate with international customers (excluding Japan). Please note that not all content is intended for the general public. You agree to the following NIDEK Global Social Media Community Guidelines (hereinafter “Guidelines”), by using the Services.
Observance and Consent Items for Using the Services
When using the Services, you shall observe and consent to the following items in addition to this Guidelines for all of the social media and each official account.
- You shall bear responsibility in regard to the results which are derived via your usage of the Services.
- You can view the profiles, photos, lists of friends, etc. that are disclosed in your own social media accounts within the scope which is permitted by this Guidelines for all of the social media.
- If you inflict damages upon NIDEK by using the Services, NIDEK can seek compensation for damages from you.
- NIDEK may delete the information which is posted on the Services by you, and implement other necessary measures without notifying you at all in advance, thus you shall not raise objections to this.
- Please keep in mind that our posts are informational and should not be viewed as professional or medical advice.

Prohibitions

- Using, uploading, or providing any harmful programs such as computer viruses.
- Any other actions that may breach laws, regulations, or ordinances.
- Any other actions that NIDEK deems inappropriate.
Disclaimers
- The transmitting of NIDEK’s official announcements and views shall be posted on the NIDEK’s website and via news releases. The information which is transmitted by NIDEK through the Services does not necessarily express the official views of NIDEK, therefore its accuracy, completeness, or utility is not guaranteed.
- The information which is transmitted through the Services is what was transmitted at that point in time, consequently it may be altered thereafter.
- NIDEK shall not be obliged to respond to comments, Direct Message, etc. which are posted by you through the Services.
- NIDEK shall not bear liability in regard to any damages caused to you or third parties due to the usage of the Services by you.
- In the event that disputes (this includes things which pertain to the information which was transmitted by you, but it is not limited to this) arise between you or between you and third parties pertaining to the Services, and as you shall resolve the said disputes via their own liability, NIDEK shall not bear liability at all.
- NIDEK may without prior notice alter the information which is transmitted through the Services, and may suspend or cancel the operation of the Services.
- NIDEK will not be responsible for any damage arising out of using the Services or inability to use it from any cause, or any damage arising out of system failure on the Services such as disclosure of restricted information, or third parties’ actions such as suspending or cancel of the operation of the Services, writing data, unauthorized access, remarks, and sending a message.

Copyrights and Trademarks
All materials on the Services are protected by copyright laws, trademark laws, and other laws regarding intellectual property rights.

NIDEK may alter the contents of this Guidelines without obtaining the consent of you. In that case, NIDEK shall post the terms after they have been altered on the website, and at the point in time that they are disclosed via other means, they shall rightfully be caused to come into effect.
Applicable Laws and Jurisdiction
This Terms and Conditions shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. All controversies and disputes arising out of or relating to this Terms and Conditions shall be adjudicated by the Nagoya District Court.
