NIDEK launches the “new” VersaCam™ α Digital Medical Scope

NIDEK CO., LTD., a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of ophthalmic,optometric, and lens edging equipment, is pleased to announce the launch of our “new” VersaCam™ α Digital Medical Scope.

 

The VersaCam™ α, a versatile and portable fundus imaging unit, provides high quality images with simple functionality. The newly added auto shot function makes it even easier to operate.
Image capture without pressing a button reduces chances of image blur. Virtually “touch free” operation is now possible with the auto focus and auto shot functions. The operator simply holds the unit at the correct distance and images are acquired automatically.

 

 

The VersaCam™ α contains a 5-megapixel clear-color camera with 45° horizontal angle of view (40° vertical) providing high quality digital imaging. The unit can be operated continuously for 3 hours without recharging.

 

This portable unit with its intuitive user functionality means fundus screenings can be performed almost anywhere. This lightweight and compact unit will enhance clinic efficiency.
